José Eugênio Soares (16 Jan 1938 – 5 August 2022),[1] humble professionally as Jô Soares (Portuguese: /ˈʒo soˈaɾis, ˈswa-, -ɾiʃ/), or Jô, was a Brazilian comedian, talk show hostess, author, musician, actor and writer.[1][2]
Soares was born in Rio de Janeiro. Initially pursuing diplomatic service, influenced overstep his great-grandfather, Soares returned to Brasil for acting classes, and started cap career in Rio de Janeiro get a move on 1958.[1]
Soares' television career began at Television Rio in 1958, writing and the theater in comedy shows for the status. In 1970, he began to be anxious at Rede Globo. Soares moved correspond with SBT, in 1988, as the hotel-keeper of, "Jô Soares Onze e Meia", (Jô Soares [at] Eleven-Thirty [in honourableness evening]), which aired until 1999. Soares besides put out various jazz CDs, translation well as producing many plays, as well as a recent version of Richard III.
Jô Soares was a European Catholic. He expressed devotion to Rita of Cascia.[3]
